Location of Wilmington’s 1914 and Later Rolls of Honour and Memorials

The sites of the 1914 Memorial and subsequent Rolls of Honour and other Memorials are -

The War Memorial outside the ‘Schools’ and opposite 84 – 90 High Road. (OAV*)

On the east wall inside the Memorial Hall, High Road, DA2 7DW. (AbP*)

On the lobby west wall inside The Heritage Centre, High Road, DA2 7DW. (AbP)

The 1914 carved oak memorial board that was designed to be on a wall above the Book of Remembrance is now on the south pillar of the Chancel Arch and the Book of Remembrance glass topped lectern cabinet is now in the South Chapel, both inside St Michael and All Angels Church, Church Hill. (AbP)

Twenty-plus memorials throughout St Michael and All Angels Churchyard, Church Hill. (OAV)

Some memorials are head / foot stones on individual graves and some have Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstones. A record book, recently compiled, of these with images accompanies the Book of Remembrance. (AbP)
