At the March Meeting of the Council, attended by the Police Community Support Officer covering Joydens Wood, the increased incidents of crime, anti-social behaviour and vandalism across the Parish was discussed.

Mention was made of the fact that, whilst details of the incidents were posted on social media no reports were made to the police. Whilst social media postings raise awareness, they do not lead to any police involvement. PCSO Terry Anderson advised that only four reports of anti-social behaviour had been logged so far this year and stressed that unless reports are made the inference is that no problems exist.

The message to residents from the ;police and the Council is that, if you have been the victim of crime or have experienced or witnessed acts of vadalism or anti-social behaviour please report it by either telephoning101 (999 if a crime is actually taking place at the time) or completing the online reporting tool on the Kent Police website http://www.kent.police.uk/ro/report
