Oakfield Park

The Parish Council apologises to users of Oakfield Park who were denied vehicular access today due to the gates being locked.

Unfortunately there was an attempt this morning by a group of Travellers who, having been moved from land in Oakfield Lane, tried to gain access to the Park and, although this was unsuccessful thanks to some very prompt action by local residents, the Parish Council thought it advisable to secure the Park as far as was possible to deter any subsequent attempt.

The Parish Council is indebted and extremely grateful to those residents who blocked access to the Park.
