The Parish Council's acquisition of the War Memorial and an area of land around it was completed today on the execution of the Transfer Deed between the Council and Kent County Council.

The Parish Council will be clearing the shrubbery and landscaping the area of land that it now owns whilst the new owner of The Rosemary Centre is under an obligation to erect a boundary fence around it. The ownership and maintenance of the wall, gates and steps that face the High Road rests with the owners of The Rosemary Centre.

It is hoped that the required works will be completed in time for the Remembrance Sunday Service but this very much depends on the fence being in place,
