This year's Annual Fair was one of the best, attracting an even larger attendance than in previous years. Those who attended were able to visit the many and varied stalls, watch some fantastic arena performances and, those bringing their pet pooches, being able to enter the Fun Dog Show.
The Parish Chairman, Councillor Stacey Brown said -
‘A thriving example of how fantastic the community of Wilmington Parish is, the Summer Fair 2024 was packed to the rafters with fantastic stalls, crafts, foods, drinks, games, and wonderfully brilliant charities.
The diverse and vibrant event, in its 40th year, celebrated everything that a community should and can be, and Wilmington Parish Council are extremely proud to support such a fantastic fixture in the Parish Calendar. We pay special tributes to the Wilmington Fair Committee, chaired by Phil Burt, the volunteer stewards on the day, and also Dartford Borough Council Waste, Parish Council staff and local members who support the delivery of this enormous achievement each year!’
The Parish Council thanks the hard working and enthusiastic Fair Committee and volunteers; the Ice Cream and refreshment sellers; the stall holders; the Common Lane residents who allowed the use of their water and electricity; Mead Vets for sponsoring the Fun Dog Show; Dartford Borough Council Waste and Recycling Department; the Parish Groundsman and most importantly the residents of the Parish (and beyond) who turned out in their hundreds to support the event.
In due course the proceeds from the Fair will be distributed to local Charities - watch the website for details
