The Parish Council are delighted to have sponsored an Ann Allen Allotment to the pre school children at St Michaels Pre School, on Church Hill.
This included the donated items, we were able to collect from the community last year, such as pots planters and spades, reusing some of the tyres that had been dumped over the A2, which can be painted up as colourful planters.
The children will officially take the plot over in Spring, but on Friday Mark, the Parish Groundsman, showed the children their new exciting garden!
The Council are proud to support this initiative under our community pillars of Education and Environment.
Message from the school;
‘A beautiful winters walk over Oakfield Park to meet Mark (Parish groundsman) to show some of the children our allotment plot. Buzzing with excitement.
Thank you to the WPC for donating this to us. It will bring so many learning opportunities and make lots of memories. Bring on Spring time ‘
